Reducing pollution

As " green" societies campaign against pollution, people are being made more aware of the harm they are doing. Fortunately, there is much that can be done to reduce the rate at which we are polluting the Earth, but it must be done now. Governments can pass laws to curb some of the worst polluting activities: contaminated habitats can be cleaned up; we can choose to buy products that are less polluting and we can switch to less polluting life styles. Using public transport and cycling help polluting life styles.

Organic farming: Some farmers have returned to organic methods of cultivating the crops, which do not reply on the heavy use of chemicals pesticides and fertilizers.

Cleaner Cities: Promote unleaded petrol to avoid the release of lead from car exhaust fumes.
