BYD is the China's biggest battery maker.Initially they produced batteries for cell phones and later they entered the field of automobiles and started selling cars by 2003. Its vision is to become the world’s largest automaker by 2025. BYD stands for Build Your Dreams and they have said that by 2011, they are planning to begin selling in the United States an electric crossover vehicle with a 250-mile range and a plug-in hybrid vehicle.
