Rabbits


Rabbits are not restricted to a particular region of the world. They are spread every where. There are more than 40 odd species. These rabbits are herbivores and they are ground dwelling. They live in colonies inside the underground burrows called as the warrens. Most of the rabbits feeds on grasses, flowers, leaves, vegetables like carrots, cabbage etc. These rabbits can run at a rate of 75 kmph to escape from their predators. Some rabbits are reared as pets, especially the white rabbits.
