Rocks and its types

The earth's surface is made up of rock but its hidden under the soil, vegetation and water. There are many types of rocks and these rocks are of varied size, shape, texture and color. These rocks are made up of chemical substances called Minerals. There are three major types of rocks. They are
1. Igneous Rocks
2. Sedimentary Rocks.
3. Metamorphic Rocks.

Some types of Igneous rocks includes Granite, Basalt, Tuff and much more. Sedimentary rocks includes clay, sandstone, gypsum etc. and metamorphic rocks includes marble, slate etc.
