Coral transplantation


Coral transplantation is being the done in the Japanese underwaters to save the reefs from dying. The reefs are endangered by various activities like overfishing, pollution and global warming. As a part of the coral transplantation, ceramic discs are put into a healthy stretch of reef, for the coral larvae to attach to and grown on. Finally, the marine biologists from Japan have taken the initiative to save the coral reefs.
