Fossil of Rare pregnant Turtle found in US

A 75-million year old turtle was found in southern Utah with a clutch of eggs inside. This is the first time that a prehistoric pregnant turtle was found in the US. Some 3 eggs were visible from the outside of the fossil. It was predicted that the turtle was probably about a week from laying her eggs when she died and became entombed. The fossil was found in a remote part of Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.
