Age of Reptiles

200 million years ago was the dinosaur age, which is considered as the ruling age of the reptiles. Only dinosaurs were dominant at that time along with some smaller species of reptiles. But, most of the modern reptiles evolved recently. One characteristic that is similar with the reptiles is that they have dry and rough skin to prevent the water loss from their body. These reptiles are cold blooded animals and mostly vertebrates. The reptiles are found both on land and water.
